It’s official. Girl Power is taking over the internet, and most probably the world. First I saw of it was Australian brand Supre’s campaign on Instagram back in January to make 2017 ‘the year of the girl’. Now just about every shop you walk into is selling at least one type of t-shirt with a girl power/girl gang/babe slogan, and I’m loving it. It’s always cool to see girls cheering each other on to success, and these tees are kind of like a little daily reminder that, as Topshop so perfectly put it, babes should unite. Yes, I have my eye on that t-shirt too.
My take on the trend is a classic white tee from SheIn, because yeah I already own 10 variations on the white t-shirt but another one really hasn’t hurt. Plus, it ensures that I’m gonna get my wear out of this because a classic tee is one I’ll always go to when I’m in a fashion rut – and believe it or not, that happens way more often than I’d like! I think the fact that I’ve already posted a bunch of pics of this tee on my Instagram feed and story tells you just how much I’m into this trend…
You might have seen me styling this gingham skirt with a black sweatshirt a while back (catch up on the post here if you missed it) or with another long sleeve top in my lookbook video (watch that here) but I’ve really been waiting for weather warm enough to style it with a simple t-shirt. If you’re really nosy and zoom in on these pics then my goosebumps will tell you that it really was NOT warm enough for just a t-shirt on the day we shot this, but I couldn’t wait any longer! So there you have it, pretty much my ideal outfit to be wearing with this cute skirt come summer.

I couldn’t find any other cool girl power slogan t-shirts to link you to here, but the link to my exact is down below. You can’t beat it – it comes in 3 different colours and is less than £8!!!
