My fave place for jeans at the moment? It has to be H&M for all the wonderful styles and different variations of denim that they create. All of my latest jeans purchases seem to be from H&M, and my particular faves come from their vintage high waist range. Was it anything to do with the fact that Hailey Baldwin was modelling them that I bought a pair in the first place? Well duh. Of course it was. She made them look so good, and who doesn’t want to look like a supermodel in their casual everyday attire?
So I’m now on about 3 pairs of these vintage style jeans. In fact, there’s a really new pair that hasn’t even made it onto the blog yet. (You may have seen it on my Instagram though.) I keep going back to this particular dark wash pair because they are so simple and the easiest things to style. I love the mid-to-dark wash, the straight leg, and the frayed hem. While skinnies have been the bomb for a good few years now and there was a time when I don’t think anyone ever thought they’d see another cut of jeans in their wardrobes again, the looser legs are deffo having a moment.
Plus, have you heard the horror stories about girls who wear their jeans so tight that their circulation cuts off in their legs!?!?!? Ew, no thank you. Instead, say hello to straight legs, girlfriend style, and mom jeans alike.
I think I styled this look up a bit differently to my norm today on the blog. I think you’d agree that a t-shirt, floral embroidered trainers and a denim jacket would have been wear more predictable of me. Well, somehow when this gorge ruffle hem top from SheIn arrived in the post, I had visions of wearing it with my fave vintage H&M jeans, a tan jacket, and oversized tote bag. Sometimes you just gotta switch it up, ya know?
I ordered this top from SheIn with my holiday abroad in mind – how cute with a pair of shorts and floppy hat against a white washed wall and sun kissed sky!? It was way nicer than I had expected and now I’m so excited to wear this all through our English spring and summer too. It’s a pretty versatile piece and works so well with a good pair of jeans. Maybe even a chunky knit for those cooler days we so often have.
