I never expected to see myself wearing a little red tweed jacket (just typing that description makes me feel a little bit sick). Living in the countryside, tweed makes me think of the kind of thing an old man would wear. And I guess that’s just not my vibe. Yet there was something about this little Chanel-dupe jacket when I saw it that made me think, I can make that work for me!
So I paired it with a white t-shirt and a pair of trainers to make it fit with my style, and you know what? I’m kind of liking this look with the tweed jacket. Who knew? It’s pretty much the simplest way to smarten up your casual, everyday jeans and a tee look. It’s also a good in-between weight so you can get wear out of it before winter comes along. How cute would this look with a fine knitted jumper layered underneath in a tonal pink/red colour?
I think the thing that makes a tweed jacket acceptable in fashion right now is that if Chanel’s doing it, then why can’t we do it? I couldn’t seem to find any websites selling the real deals, but just google image search ‘Chanel tweed jacket’ and you’ll see how much of an amazing dupe this one is. It also comes in a dark blue colour and there are a few other cute options here too! Did I mention this red one is less than £25?
